I have been working on “A Golden Thread” featuring text from the classic myth, “The Minotaur,” written by Nathaniel Hawthorne in 1853.  It includes a contemporary twist on the medieval manuscript, with Labyrinthine Quotes of Carl Jung, musings on Lorem Ipsum, and a wink to the weavings of Arachne.  The typography shifts from elegant to explosive, decorative borders are hand drawn and hand painted, with highlighted marginalia, and a few edgy intaglio prints.  The book is in its early stages, but you may get a glimpse into the creative process at the Fine Press Fair this Saturday, with fifty pages to view.
